BIRD PARK CHANDIGARH
Bird Park Chandigarh is located in the Nagar Van area behind the famous Sukhna Lake of Chandigarh city in Sector 1. It is within a walking distance of around 10 minutes from Sukhna Lake.
It is set up by the UT forest and Wildlife Department on approximately six acres in November 2021. In its initial phase, it will house nearly 550 exotic birds of 48 species. This park has separate compartments for aquatic and terrestrial birds.
Entry fee for adults: 50 INR per person.
For Children: 30 INR per child
No cash payments are accepted, only online payments are accepted.
Timings for Bird Park Chandigarh are from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm and remain open for 5 days a week.
Bird Park Chandigarh remains closed on Monday and Tuesday for maintenance and resting birds.

Sukhna lake is located at the foothills of the Himalayas and is created by cascading the seasonal stream of Sukhna stream running down the Shivalik mountain ranges. The exact location is in Sector 1 of Chandigarh.
Sukhna Lake is a man-made lake that was created in 1958. It is stretched in the area of 3 Square KM. It is my best places to visit in Chandigarh.
Although, it remains open for the whole day as local residents do their morning and evening walk alongside the lake pathway. However, the timings for tourists are from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
It remains open for all days of the week.
There is as such no entry fee to visit this place but if you want to enjoy boating then you have to get the ticket for that.

ROCK GARDEN CHANDIGARH
It is also known by the name of Nek Chand Saini’s Rock Garden. Nek Chand was the founder of this garden and he built this garden secretly in his spare time in 1957.
It is situated in the Sector 1 of the Chandigarh near Sukhna lake.
The thing which makes ROCK GARDEN unique is that it contains a magnificent and fabulous arrangement of rocks, broken chinaware, discarded fluorescent tubes, broken glass bangles, coal and clay material, and other household waste material. These materials create a dramatic world of soldiers, monkeys, village life, women, places, men, and temples.
The timings to visit this garden is from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm (ticket counter closed at 6:00 pm).
It remains open for all days in week.

ROSE GARDEN CHANDIGARH
Rose garden is also known by name of Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, the former President of India. It is spread in the area of 30 acres and is the largest botanical garden in Asia that is solely dedicated for Roses.
Here you can see more than 1600 species of roses and other members of the plant kingdom.
Rose garden is located in Sector 16 in Chandigarh.

ELANTE MALL CHANDIGARH

It is the 7th largest shopping mall in northern India and the 10th largest in India.

Although, it remains open for the whole day as local residents do their morning and evening walks inside the garden.

The best time to visit this garden is from November to March as the weather remains cool and pleasant.

SECTOR 17 MARKET CHANDIGARH
Sector 17 market in Chandigarh is not only for those who are looking to buy something, but also for those who just want to window-shop and experience the lively bustle, especially at night.
Here, you will find a range of brands, vendors and hawkers.
This market is best for spending an evening. This market is not congested and has an ample space. Numerous restaurants and eatery outlets are there to enjoy food and drinks.
Exploring this market on foot is a piece of cake as there is hardly any vehicular traffic.
Located in front of Sector 17 local bus stand.

Chattbir zoo, also known by the name of Mahendra Choudhary Zoological park is a zoo in Zirakpur, Chandigarh (Punjab).
This park is a habitat for a vast variety of mammals, birds, and reptiles.
Chattbir Zoo is located at a distance of 15 KM from the Chandigarh city on Zirakpur-Patiala national highway.
Timings to visit the Chattbir Zoo are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Chattbir Zoo remains closed on every Monday and on other major National holidays such as Independence day, Republic day and Gandhi Jyanti.

GURUDWARA NADA SAHIB
Gurudwara Nada Sahib is situated at a distance of 15 KM from Chandigarh city on Shimla-Kalka Highway in Panchkula District of Haryana.
It is a historical Gurudwara related with 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Ji who halted here while travelling from Paonta Sahib to Anandpur Sahib after the battle of Bhangani in 1688.
This is the holy place where the people of the city go to forget about the hustle and bustle of their life and spend a few moments of peace in the lap of the divine.
The building of this Gurudwara is spectacular in its style and placed with white marble on the walls. Due to its geographical location, it gives immense peace and stability in mind when mixed with the sound of hymens from the Gurudwara.
Pinjore Garden is located at a distance of 20 KM from the Chandigarh city on Shimla-Kalka National Highway. It is also famous by the name of “Yadwinder Garden”- the King who built it.
