BRIEF INTRODUCTION:
Gurudwara Dukh Niwarn Sahib, Patiala is the famous Sikh shrine to visit in Patiala. It is situated in the heart of Patiala city near a bus stand. This Gurudwara is based on the 9th Sikh Guru (Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ).
MAIN ATTRACTIONS:
The building of Gurudwara is beautiful and it is spread over several acres. It has a sacred tank (Sarovar) where devotees take bath on every Panchami (special day in each month) to get rid of their sufferings. On this day, devotees make a visit in large numbers from neighboring areas and other districts of Punjab as well.
HOW TO REACH?
Gurudwara is situated at a 70 km distance away from Chandigarh international airport. One can book a cab or bus from the airport and will reach this holy place within 1.5 hours.
FACILITIES
# Sarai facilities which refer to pilgrimage in Sikhism are available where one can stay for few days.
# Langar hall (common kitchen ) remains open for 24 hours and visitors can eat here for free.
